Welcome to PurpleStrategies.com (“Site”), a website owned and controlled by Purple Strategies, LLC (“Purple”). This privacy policy governs the privacy of those who choose to use PurpleStrategies.com.

Scope

This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) applies to the Site in all of its accessible forms including desktop, mobile and tablet. It explains how your information may be collected and used by Purple. By visiting the Site or by submitting to Purple your Personal Information (“PI”), as defined below, you are accepting the policies and practices described in this Policy. You can see when this Policy was last revised by checking the “Effective” date. Nothing in this Policy limits any rights you may have under applicable law, including the California privacy rights described below.

Collection of Information

Purple collects both information you give it and information Purple gets from your use of this Site. Purple may collect your PI, defined as any information (a) that identifies or can be used to identify, contact or locate you; or, (b) from which your identification or contact information can be derived. PI may include: your first and last name, your home or other address, your email address, your telephone number, or any other information that allows someone to contact you. The PI you provide is used to fulfill your specific requests or to help improve your experience using our Site, such as: sending you communications and administrative emails, responding to your inquiries, or sending you marketing or product updates. Purple also collects non-personal information, such as your computer type, geographic location, demographic information, and any other information that does not reveal your specific identity. If you’re accessing the site from a mobile device, we may collect non-personal information about your device type or the speed of your mobile network. This non-personal information might be used to analyze your use of the Site, to market to you, target advertising to you or to help Purple conduct analysis of the Site’s audience. Collection and use of other non-personal information collected through cookies, pixel tags, web beacons, and similar technologies is detailed below. Your IP Address is a number assigned to your computer through your Internet Service Provider, which is automatically sent to Purple when you visit the Site – as is standard on the Internet. Your IP Address is also logged by Purple when you visit the Site.

Use of Cookies, Pixel Tags, Web Beacons and Similar Technologies

Purple uses cookies, pixel tags, web beacons, browser identification, and similar technologies on this Site to help Purple understand how you use this Site, to make this Site better, or to help personalize your experience on this Site or elsewhere. Purple also allows third parties to place cookies on this Site and to collect non-personal information from you. These third parties may collect information from you to market to you, target advertising to you or to help Purple conduct analysis of the Site’s audience. The technologies currently in use on this Site include: (a) web analytics (currently Google Analytics), which uses cookies to measure how visitors use the Site; (b) marketing and customer-relationship analytics (currently HubSpot), which uses cookies to associate your visits with information you submit through forms on this Site; (c) visitor-identification services (currently DemandSense, which works with partner services), which use your IP address, device characteristics, and similar signals to infer the company or organization associated with your visit; and (d) performance monitoring (currently Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights), which does not use cookies. Purple also sets a first-party cookie used to tailor content on this Site to the organization we infer you may be visiting from, and a first-party cookie that records a privacy preference as described under “Browser Privacy Signals and Global Privacy Control” below; the privacy-preference cookie is not used for tracking. The loading of these technologies is subject to the opt-outs described in that section. Cookies are traces of information your computer’s web browser collects when you visit a website. If you previously provided PI, cookies may be tied to such information. You may block or remove cookies by following directions contained in the help file of your browser. If you choose to block or remove cookies you may not be able to access sections on this Site. Please also note that if you delete (clear your cache), block, or restrict cookies, or if you use a different computer or browser, you will need to re-do the steps you took to block or remove cookies.

Distribution of Information

As noted above, Purple may share your PI or non-personal information with third parties for its own advertising (ad networks like Google), data collection, statistical purposes (website analytics and optimization tools, like Google Analytics), for identifying the organizations visiting the Site (visitor-identification services, like DemandSense), for helping Purple send emails or marketing materials (communications distribution services, like HubSpot), or for customer service purposes. Non-personal information may be collected from you and used to deliver targeted advertising on this Site or on sites external to Purple’s Site. To remove your PI from any batch that may be shared on these grounds, you may opt out by contacting Purple at Privacy@PurpleStrategies.com. Purple may retain some personal information to comply with laws, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems, assist with any investigations, enforce Purple’s Terms of Use, or take any other actions otherwise permitted by law. There may also be some residual PI that remains in Purple’s databases, access logs, and other records.

Purple may also share your PI and non-personal information with any of Purple’s subsidiaries, joint ventures, or other companies under common control with Purple. Additionally, should Purple merge with another company, acquire another company, or enter into another business transition of this sort, your PI may be among the assets transferred.

Finally, Purple may share information with governmental agencies or other companies assisting it in fraud prevention or investigation. Purple may do so when: (1) permitted or required by law or court order; or, (2) trying to protect against or prevent actual or potential fraud or unauthorized transactions; or, (3) investigating fraud which has already taken place.

Although Purple intends only to include quality, safe and relevant external links, you should always exercise caution before clicking any external web links on the Site. Purple cannot guarantee or verify the contents of any externally linked website despite its best efforts. Users should therefore note that they click on external links at their own risk and neither Purple, nor this Site can be held liable for any damages or implications caused by visiting any external links mentioned.

Social Media Platforms

Communication, engagement, and other actions taken through external social media platforms that Purple and this Site utilize are governed by the terms and conditions and privacy policies of the applicable social media platform. Purple will not solicit PI through a public channel. Purple asks that you not submit PI through these channels, but to communicate directly with Purple via telephone, email or directly through this Site.

This Site uses social sharing buttons, which help share content directly from web pages to the applicable social media platform. You should use those social sharing buttons at your own discretion, and should note that those social media platforms may be tracking information according to the terms of the applicable platform’s privacy policy and terms of use.

Privacy Contact Information and Opt Out Procedures

If you have any questions, concerns, or comments about this privacy policy you may email Purple at Privacy@PurpleStrategies.com. You may opt out of any marketing related materials or ask that Purple no longer share your PI with third parties by emailing your request to Privacy@PurpleStrategies.com. You may review and request changes to your collected PI by contacting Privacy@PurpleStrategies.com. In addition, you may opt out of the sharing of your information with the third-party analytics and visitor-identification services described in this Policy by enabling the Global Privacy Control setting in a participating browser or browser extension; Purple honors that signal as described under “Browser Privacy Signals and Global Privacy Control” below. Purple will try to comply with your request as soon as is reasonably possible, subject to this Policy. For your protection, Purple will only recognize and implement requests related to the PI related to the email address you use to send your request, and may ask to verify your identity prior to implementing the request. Purple may also need to keep some information, including PI and residual information, for recordkeeping, our own advertising (ad networks like Google), data collection, statistical purposes (website analytics and optimization tools, like Google Analytics), or for customer service purposes, or other purposes, and will not remove that information. If you opt out as described above, Purple will not be able to update or remove your PI already disclosed to third parties who’ve been provided this information as permitted by this Policy.

Browser Privacy Signals and Global Privacy Control

Purple recognizes and honors the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. When your browser or browser extension transmits a GPC signal, Purple treats it as a valid request to opt out of the sharing of your personal information on this Site: third-party visitor-identification and marketing-analytics technologies are not loaded for your visit, and advertising features of Purple’s web analytics are disabled. You do not need to take any additional action for this opt-out to apply to your browser on this Site. Because GPC operates at the browser level, you will need to enable it on each browser and device you use. Purple does not respond to the older “Do Not Track” (DNT) browser setting.

Your California Privacy Rights

This section supplements the rest of this Policy and applies to visitors who are California residents.

Purple collects the categories of personal information described under “Collection of Information” above, including: identifiers (such as name, email address, telephone number, and IP address); professional or employment-related information you choose to provide; internet or other electronic network activity information (such as the pages you view and your interactions with the Site); and inferences drawn from that information (such as the company or organization associated with your visit).

Purple does not sell personal information for money. Certain of the third-party analytics and visitor-identification technologies described in this Policy may constitute “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, or a “sale,” as those terms are defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act. You may opt out of such sharing at any time, at no charge, by (a) enabling the Global Privacy Control signal in your browser, which Purple honors as a valid opt-out request, or (b) emailing Privacy@PurpleStrategies.com.

Subject to applicable law, California residents also have the right to request that Purple disclose the personal information it has collected about them, to request deletion of that information, to request correction of inaccurate information, and not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising any of these rights. To exercise these rights, email Privacy@PurpleStrategies.com. Purple may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and you may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf.

Use of this Site by Children

This Site is not meant to be used by and is not directed to individuals under the age of thirteen (13), and Purple requests that those individuals under the age of thirteen (13) not provide Purple with PI through this Site.

Jurisdictional Issues

Purple does not represent or warrant that this Site, or any part of this Site, is appropriate or available for use in any particular jurisdiction. You access this Site at your own initiative and risk, and you are responsible for complying with all applicable local laws, rules and regulations. In Purple’s sole discretion, Purple may limit any or all of the Site’s availability to any person or geographic area at any time. By using this Site and submitting any PI, you consent to the transfer of your PI subject to the terms of this Policy to other countries, including the United States, which may have different data security protections than your country of residence.

Purple reserves the right to change this policy, but will alert you that changes have been made by indicating the new Effective date. To be notified of changes to this policy, submit your email through our contact form in the main menu.
