Jennifer Myers

Jennifer is a Communications Lead at Purple Strategies. She spent the past eight years at trade associations, most recently as the Senior Director of Communications at the American Hotel & Lodging Association, where she led the association’s thought leadership, media relations and advocacy communications efforts. She began her career in politics and public opinion research, first at Public Opinion Strategies and then the research arm of Edelman, as well as stints with congressional and gubernatorial campaigns in her home state of Nebraska. She holds a B.A. in Political Communication from Nebraska Wesleyan University and a M.A. in Media and Public Affairs from The George Washington University.

“It is a joy coming to work at Purple because the culture is so special. We may all have different backgrounds and expertise, but we share common traits that help us thrive. We’re curious by nature and never stop learning. We’re problem solvers and forward thinkers. We are collaborative because we know that what we can do as a team is stronger than anything we can do on our own. We’re proud of what we bring to the table, but humble enough to recognize we’re not the smartest person in the room. We welcome the chance to roll up our sleeves and get things done together.”

“One of the things I love most about working at Purple is that I can focus on the things I do best, while also stretching myself in new areas and learning from colleagues who have different strengths and skillsets. I’m always learning something new, and that’s exciting. The work is never boring.”

“Be confident in who you are and what you bring to the conversation. You are there for a reason.”
